He has transformed some of the most recognised faces including Christine Bleakley, Yasmin Le Bon and The Saturday’s and now Paddy McGurgan is set to open his Make-Up Pro Store in Derry City later this month.
The multi-award winning make-up artist Paddy McGurgan, 35, will throw open the doors to his 2000 sq. ft. state of the art store in the commercial heart of the city in Pump Street employing a team of six professionally trained make-up artists.
The walled city store will add to existing stores in Belfast’s Royal Avenue and Newry’s Hill Street, bringing the number of employees to 24.
The store will offer make-up applications, hour-long make-up lessons, one-day courses and a nine-week make-up academy with Paddy alongside an array of retail brands from around the globe including Illamasqua, Make up Studio, Make up Atelier, Ben Nye, Zoeva, Paddy McGurgan Brushes, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder Cosmetics (OCC) LA SPLASH, Mario Badescu, Embryolisse, Balance Me, Caudalie, MOA, Amazing Cosmetics and Monda, ZUCA.
Paddy’s business has gone from strength to strength since opening his first store in Belfast in 2013. He went on to work behind the scenes at Paris Fashion Week and picked up a plethora of coveted awards including the All Ireland Bridal Make-up Artist and was selected from sixteen finalists from across the UK to be crowned Illamasqua Distinction in Make-up Artistry.
Paddy said, “Derry has been on my radar for a while now and the location of Pump Street is considered to be one of the city’s most intact eighteenth century streets. Derry is making a name for itself in the fashion world and I’m really excited to be setting up in the city offering a lot of brands which will be new and exclusive to the North West”.
